France>Arc-Isère
This report is devoted to an explanation and a justification for each of the branches of the Isère decision tree model, including the leaves. In some cases we identify potential indicators that can be used to evaluate the alternatives. This sketch of the Isère tree model may be subject to changes. The alternatives have not been characterized in sufficient detail at this stage of the work and it is is only possible to deliver some physical processes to some extent. It is also possible that as this work goes ahead, some of the branches / leaves be eliminated, depending on the relevance of how they are affected by each alternative.

The lower valley of the Var river had 16 dams, built in the 1980's. Several recently collapsed, for hydromorphological reasons apparently. Should the local authority decide to dismantle all of the remaining dams?
Germany>Inn
The hydropower-plant near Kirchbichl (Tyrol, Austria) is one o the biggest diversion-type hydroelectric plant in Tyrol. The total water discharge of the river Inn between October and May for the operation of the hydropower-plant is used, hence no water donation for residual flow is available for several months. For the implementation of the WFD and in order to reach (maintain) the status “good ecological potential, several pilot investigation are planned.
Germany>Lech
This monograph describes the pilot case study Litzauer Schleife on Lech. This case study aims to assess the hydropeaking effects on the fauna of one of a few last free flowing reaches of the Bavarian Lech.
Italy>Cordevole
This document contains the description of the MCA application to a little torrent included in the Cordevole river basin pilot case study area. A mini-hydro power plant has already been installed on this stream, named Rio Cordon, but a different plant configuration to improve energy production, and the possibility of a second HP plant installation are considered.
Italy>Astico
This document contains the description of the HP plant that will be the object of the MCA analysis on the Astico pilot case study river basin. On the basis of the current plant configuration and management, four different alternatives have been proposed and will be discussed.

These different alternatives represent the real HP plant manager planned releases in a coordinate study with the public administration. The set of the experimental releases for the Dora Baltea river are applied to a single HP plant.

Aim of this document is to describe Kokra pilot region test basin with a micro-location that will form a testing ground for MCA in Slovenia. The document also highlights the ‘coarse’ MCA structure and alternatives that are going to be tested in the MCA.
